  • Register to vote | IIYC Bay Area

Vote Register to vote in CA! Voter Guide English REGISTER TO VOTE by Monday, October 24th Register to vote! FAQ for Registry We are being passive when we don't vote. Not voting is like NOT standing up and using your voice. - @MarikaSila Get out and vote! It is not sacred and it is not everything...but it is something! And we need every little action we can get. - @m aura.garcia.dance Voting is NOT sacred. You cannot “decolonize” things, ideas, or words the colonizers brought over themselves. However, we can utilize them to help us understand how to overcome the challenge we are faced in the “white mans world”. Our ancestors were no different from us. Sure, they knew a lot more about our ways of life than we do. However that never stoped them from making decisions about the future. They actually used our sacred teachings and beliefs to help them. Through k’é our ancestors always thought about their grandchildren and how life would be for us. So, they fought for our lives. Access to education, resources, and a seat at the same tables of our oppressors and their political parties. Today, I remember one of the many beautiful and sacred teachings of our people. Having gratitude. I show this by voting for me and my future. Ahéhee' shikéí dóó shidine'é. ❤️ - @geronimo.warrior
